Australian Delphi User Group
The Australian Delphi User Group has been active since 1994 when Delphi was still in the beta test Phase. Although we started in Melbourne we are a national group. Our electronic mailing list is one of the most popular interactive resources for Australian Delphi developers. Currently there are local activities in Melbourne and Sydney, but the policy of the ADUG is to promote and support the formation of local 'chapters'. ADUG members come from a variety of backgrounds and environments offering a wide range of Delphi and other software and hardware skills. By joining ADUG, you not only enhance your Delphi knowledge, but join a professional network offering information resources, knowledge exchange and the opportunity to make valuable contacts.

The Australian Java Users Group
The Australian Java Users Group (AJUG) was formed in late 1995 by a group of Melbourne based Java enthusiasts and with the support of such companies as Sun Microsystems continues to grow nationally with regular meetings held in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Canberra and Perth. AJUG's purpose is to promote the exchange of information about the Java programming language and related languages, software and hardware.

The Australian Society for Technical Communication
The Australian Society for Technical Communication was formed in 1989 by Technical Communicators interested in providing assistance to those working in the field. It seeks to: Provide members with an environment where they can enhance their professionalism through discussion, meetings, information sessions, networking and peer review. Increase industry awareness of what technical communicators can provide. Provide on-going education in the form of meetings and workshops.

Australian Unix Users Group
Australian Unix Users Group Incorporated is the Australian UNIX(*) and Open Systems Users Group. AUUG is a national body offering its members access to information on current and future UNIX and Open Systems technologies. AUUG's aims, as stated in the constitution, are: "To promote knowledge and understanding of Open Systems including but not restricted to the UNIX system, networking, graphics, user interfaces and programming and development environments, and related standards."

ColdFusion supports a powerful server-side scripting language, ColdFusion Markup Language (CFML),that is extremely easy to learn and cleanly integrates with all popular Web languages and technologies. ColdFusion works with multi-tier architectures through COM, CORBA, and EJB integration. It can also be easily extended with new components created with Java Servlets, Java classes, or C/C++.

DAMA
DAMA is a vendor independent, not for profit professional association of data and information management practitioners. Its primary objective is to "promote the understanding and practice of managing information and data as key business assets". DAMA has been in operation in Australia since the mid 1980s with active DAMA chapters in Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra. Each state chapter meets on a regular basis, providing a forum for data industry professionals from private enterprise, all levels of government and educational institutions, to hear guest speakers, network, and exchange ideas. An Australian National Conference is held annually, rotating, amongst the three state chapters. Within DAMA International, there are more than 40 DAMA chapters world-wide, with an International Conference being held every year.

International Software Benchmarking Standards Group
The ISBSG Mission is to help improve the management of IT resources by both business and government through the provision and exploitation of a public repository of softwareengineering knowledge which is standardised, verified, recent and representative of current technologies. The International Software Benchmarking Standards Group, a not-for-profit organisation has built, grows, maintains and exploits a Repository of software project data. This Repository is "open", being available to any person for a modest price. The Repository contains data on almost 1,500 projects from more than twenty countries and fourteen organisation types. The ISBSG's members are the software metrics associations of the leading software development countries of the world: Australia, Finland, Germany, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom and the USA.

Linux Users of Victoria Inc.
Linux Users of Victoria Inc. was started in June 1993 by a small group of Victorian Linux enthusiasts who had met via the newsgroup aus.computers.linux. The inaugural meeting was held on Tuesday the 6th of July that year at the CITRI building in Carlton, with a grand total attendence of 21. Since those days the popularity of Linux has seen LUV grow steadily, to the point where we now have over 1000 members and the monthly meetings are always well attended. It is our intention that LUV remain relevant and useful, and continue to promote the use of Linux in the community.
